2009 - 2010 Season

This program is for high school students, grades 9-12, of all abilities. Skiers will focus on technique for skate and classical skiing along with developing fitness through strength, speed and endurance workouts. Practices are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00-6:30 pm. Practices are held at Blackhawk, Elver Park, and other places depending on weather conditions. Races are optional and are held on weekends around the state and Tuesday nights at Elver Park. Travel costs for races and race fees are not included. The season runs November 1st-March 1st. Racers are encouraged to purchase their own equipment. Participants need to be members of Blackhawk and Madnorski.

Important Announcements
Please arrange to drop off your jersey and equipment before the party at Blackhawk or by agreement with a coach.
Everyone must sign up on the Blackhawk web page. If you are not yet a member you can do that first and sign up at the same time. If you are already a member you can log in and select "Shop for Classes" Returning skiers renting equipment will select and pay online, new skiers select "I have my own equipment"
Also be sure to look under Files and Links and print off the Contact Form and Medical Release/Waiver to fill out and turn in if you haven't already!
Please note there is a change in equipment rental policy this year. First year skiers will have free rentals, returning skiers will have a flat rental fee of $100 for all equipment but must purchase their own boots. There will also be a $100 deposit for all skiers renting equipment.
