Fair but beautiful and well worth the effort. The trails through the woods were wonderful and much better than Inna and I expected as we drove out from Madison. The downhill into the campground was challenging but certainly skiable.

Arrived early morning to freshly tilled and perfectly groomed man made loop. Although 3F at start with calm winds but warmed up quickly to 20F with brisk south wind. Although very cold snow was fairly fast- tracks looked perfect as well. Well worth the drive to get in 30k prep for Birkie.

After skiing the course during Middle School Practice tonite, I would downgrade my rosy impression to Fair. The skate deck is icy and even with tilling, it is slick in many places. No plans to groom until we get more snow.
The 3k golf course loop was tilled and groomed last nite and is smooth , flat and fast. It is pretty thin in a few spots. There is still an old shallow icy track. Will be regroomed lightly today at 3 pm and will keep the trail im good condition until Sunday morning. Will close …
