Social ride Monday, September 13, 2021 starting at 5:30 pm and ending on a Madison bike path post sunset, so bring lights!!
Who? – MadNorski members who like to ride bicycles, including juniors!
Meeting point– Olin Park parking lot, 5:30 pm or along route.
Proposed routes – Short route 16 miles passing Hop Haus at midpoint (Mostly bike trail, one section on Seminole Hwy) . Long route 37 miles with 760 feet of uphill with Dot’s Tavern at midpoint. Please note the longer route has a section of crushed gravel, so fatter tires (like wider than 28 mm) will be better.
Pace – Slower than Ivey’s Slow n Go. Less than 16 mph to where routes split. Less than 18 mph after and regrouping as needed. It’s time to chat and get to know each other.
Stops – Dot’s Tavern for a soda or some other suds; Hop Haus for the short route and on return from the long route.
Needs – Bike Lights!! – front and back; other safety equipment – helmet and gloves; spare tube, patch kit, CO2 or pump; some $$ for beverages and snacks.
