As of Friday, the park service has not worked on any trails. Regardless people are making their own classic tracks and making do. Did the Cliffwood Coulee Trail, which is one of the newer trails. Not too much snow so some leaf/sticks were an issue but was managable. It's a scenic trail that overlooks the Ishnala gorge and its cliffs. Unfortunately it is used by hikers…but footprints aren't too bad until you get north of the Ishnala bridge. Four inches is coming in tonight…staff plans on doing a morning skate groom of Fern Dell, Turtleville, and Hastings. Fern Dell will be the first and should be done before 11. I doubt they do any other trails on Sat. I suspect classic skaters will make their own tracks on Northwest, Pioneer, and Ishnala.
